Stage Manager Internship - Application Due three weeks before the start of the class session

We are looking for a student to become an intern stage manager Monday Musical Theater class and the Thursday young actor's class. Any interested interns must be at least 15 years old. As a stage manager, the students will be responsible for writing down all the blocking, set changes, general assistant to the director, and calling cues. Both positions require interns to be at class ten minutes before start time and will occasionally be asked to stay after to debrief. The pay is $100 for the twelve weeks, this can be paid in the form of a check or can be put toward Salad City tuition

Not everyone wants to be in the spotlight, but luckily there are many other ways to get involved. We need all kinds of help backstage during the show and the immediate weeks preceding. Salad City's crew runs the lights, sound, and spotlights. Plus they make all the set changes, open and close the curtain, and help the actors get onstage on time.

Students will be assigned jobs based on their age, experience level, and previous work.
*If you have previously helped in one of Salad City Productions performances please submit an email at the beginning of each new class series stating interest in participating again.

Salad City believes all students should have the opportunity to participate in theater and would like to offer financial aid to any families with financial needs that will not allow them to participate in the classes. If you've written your own script and would like to see it produced by Salad City, send us a PDF and we may very well choose your show as our next production. If you haven't written a script, but feel like giving it a try, we'd love to see your work.
